About Course

Course Description

Classroom Management: Creating POSITIVE Habits helps educators learn how to communicate, collaborate, and provide consistent research-based strategies for creating a POSITIVE climate in the classroom. The course includes creating and modeling expectations for teachers and students, de-escalating techniques, and how to refer a student who is being disruptive properly. Participants will also learn practical strategies to guide their understanding of how habits are formed and ways to create new ones the POSITIVE way. Establishing a connection with behavior strategies that can be used at school and home can provide consistency in student and adult behavior. Understanding how habits drive people’s behaviors is an effective skill in assisting staff, students, and parents in changing habits. Also, by working with all stakeholders in developing positive relationships with each other, a positive culture can be developed and sustained.
