Classroom Management: Creating P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E. Habits helps educators learn how to communicate, collaborate and provide consistent research-based strategies for creating a P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E. climate in the classroom. The course includes creating and modeling expectations for teachers and students, de-escalate techniques, and how to properly refer a student who is being disruptive. Participants will also learn practical strategies that will guide their understanding in how habits are formed and ways to create new ones the P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E. way.

Establishing a connection with behavior strategies that can be used at school and home can provide consistency in student and adult behavior . Understanding how habits drive people’s behaviors is an effective skill to learn in providing assistance to staff, students, and parents in changing habits. Also, working with all stakeholders in developing positive relationships with each other, a positive culture can be developed and sustained.

Participants will acquire 8 strategies for classroom management skills through the acronym P.O.S.I.T.I.V.E.
Participants will learn habits are formed and how they affect a person's behavior, including how to change them.
Participants will learn strategies to build positive relationships with stakeholders through the PBIS framework
